On March 15, 2019, LSPR Transpark celebrated their new campus opening with a gathering of all lecturers and staff. At the same time, the event was also a farewell party for Ms. Gesille S. Buot, who is returning to the Philippines, to her family. The event started at 1:00 PM, and was opened by LSPR staff performing three songs. The last song was dedicated to Ms. Gesille.
Ibu Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR, the founder and director of London School Public Relations, gave a welcoming speech, opening with her gratefulness for the new LSPR campus in Transpark. “We are very sincere in providing facilities to students, who will later contribute to the building of our nation.” She also gave a speech dedicated to Ms. Gesille. “We also would like to give our gratitude and appreciation to Ms. Gesille, who has been working with us for almost 17 years.”
After Ibu Prita’s speech, a representative of LLDIKTI region III, Mrs. Norsanty, S. Kom. delivered a speech and congratulated LSPR on their New Campus. She also reported some data about LSPR that has already been recorded by LLDIKTI.
LSPR also gave Ms. Gesille an appreciation gift, following a speech from Ms. Gesille herself. “This not just work, not just a school, this is a family,” she said. “I’m so blessed I’m (working) at LSPR. I can’t imagine being somewhere else. Life in LSPR is drama, comedy, performance, and above all family.” She mentioned how living in Indonesia has changed her. “I have learnt how to be humble. Indonesians are very humble and polite. That is something I will take with me. If it hadn’t been for LSPR, I would not be who I am right now.” She believes this is not a good bye. “We’re going to meet again, for sure. This is not the end, or a good bye.”
The event was closed by a special performance by Ms. Sofia, Mrs. Yunita, and Mrs. Sylvia, three lecturers, and they give a very heartwarming performance. Thank you, Ms. Gesille, for your dedication to LSPR. We will miss you! (Dianka Rinya, Cessa ZY)
