Jakarta, April 5, 2020 – In the period of physical distancing to prevent the spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in Indonesia, the Student Affairs Communication and Business Institute LSPR transferred online non-academic activities to students. This activity will be carried out by the Student Activity Unit (UKM) at LSPR which will be focused on Webinars with a variety of topics according to each SME category. This series of online activities will begin periodically from April to May 2020.
The Vice-Rector III for Student Affairs of LSPR Communication & Business Institute, Taufan Teguh Akbari, Ph.D. said “The LSPR Student Affairs which is a place for students to carry out activities in the non-academic field contributes to supporting the government through physical distancing programs on campus, namely by hold online activities with the aim that students remain active and dynamic in non-academic activities even while learning from home situations. ”
This non-academic online activity was also coordinated by the Student League which is the Student Executive Board (BEM) at LSPR. In total there are 29 SMEs that are divided into 4 categories under the auspices of the Student League, namely Arts, Communities, Science & Multimedia Center, and Sports.
Each category will hold a Web Seminar (Live & Pre-Recorded), Interview Figure and Online Competition with a total of approximately 57 Webinars and 15 Online Competitions which will be broadcast periodically from April to May 2020. Not only that, but this activity will also take place The Campus Ambassador, Mr & Ms. LSPR 2020, continued to carry out online quarantine.
Some of these webinars will raise topics related to student productivity even if they have to study online from home. Besides, LSPR also presented various health webinar sessions, business incubation technical guidance, inspirational sessions from alumni to career development specifically aimed at LSPR students in the period
Every student who participates in a Webinar will get a Non-Academic Point (NAP) so that students stay active and continue to get non-academic education besides taking classes in class with the lecturer.
