Jakarta – Dr. J.A Wempi the Dean of the Faculty of Communications LSPR and Dr. Chrisdina Wempi a LSPR Lecturer gave tips on managing time during working from home in the Coronavirus situation. This was published via LSPR Jakarta Youtube channel on Monday, 6 April 2020.
They both like to exercise, especially cycling. However, this is not possible as Coronavirus is an obstacle to cycling outside of the house. Furthermore, with the worsening situation where the number of infected victims has increased to almost 3,000, the government is encouraging citizens to isolate themselves at home.
But the trick by Dr. Wempi and his wife when they have to shop for necessities is they both cycle to the supermarket instead of driving motorized vehicles. This is a very smart management tip and very effective by doing two activities at the same time. It aims to help minimize the risk of COVID-19 exposure.
But there are things that must be considered, Dr. Chrisdina stated that when you want to go shopping and biking, you have to think first about what you want to buy, which supermarket to visit, what items to take, and of course keep on implementing social distancing.
They both suggested not to forget to take plastic gloves so that vegetables and fruit in the supermarket are free from bacterial contamination from our hands, hand sanitizers, backpacks substitutes for plastic bags, and masks to wear.
“Hopefully the Coronavirus pandemic will pass quickly, so don’t forget to exercise to help build up your immunity. Do it as usual but with more caution. The important thing is we need to prepare before we do sports”, said Dr. J.A Wempi ending his tips.
