Jakarta – Webinar “Hidup Kudu Asyik, Walaupun Pandemi Sedang Terjadi” aims to encourage students to be positive about the pandemic, then to understand the process of self-change in responding to COVID-19. The discussion also refers to strengthening motivation to develop themselves, drawing learning from this pandemic, and making strategies to be “a part of the solution, not a part of the problem”. This material was delivered by Dra. Diena Haryana, M.A, a life coach for LSPR Communication & Business Institute students.

She began the exposure of positive humans who have “Survival Ability”. Over the years humans have experienced a variety of pandemics before now, but at this time the scale looks scary because of how easily transmission occurs. “We need to look at the stages – how we as humans respond to changes in life. How do we experience that change, then what happens psychologically “, she says

4 things are discussed by Ms. Diena in this webinar. “First when the change is happening, what happens is that we often deny that there is a change in our lives or those around us. Then the stages of fighting or rejecting, but in fact, it happened. The next stage is exploring or what can be done. Then the last is a commitment to ourselves that we can survive and we can do something for others “, she explained. The strength of one’s self can appear optimally to combat the problems faced. This is where the higher Survivability Ability will occur, and creativity will emerge.

Furthermore, it was also explained that a person must assess his current existence. “If we are still in the stage of rejection or doubt, then we can conduct consultations to be able to create adjustment and also maintain our psychological so that we can remain happy in this pandemic. Other tips are not too much to receive news on social media that displays something that can cause people to fear, replace it by doing small things that are more real-life experience. Then, look for goals that can be achieved, or plan something, what we do to achieve the goals made. If we are at the exploration stage or our commitment has become part of the solution, learning and developing to be the optimal self we must continue to run, and contribute to lighten the burden on others, “she explained. “I am a part of the solution, not a part of a problem, my way at home is my way to heal the world. “I am valuable and the people around me are very valuable,” she added.

This valuable learning from a pandemic is a new awareness of one’s self. “Our best protector is God, we are connected to God, and God’s gift that we must protect is our body, and the most comfortable place is home, and the best friends are family, and the best time is now, what we can do it now for us and friends. Being a better human being is sincere, patient, and peaceful, “she added meaningfully.

At the end of the webinar, Ms. Diena stated that humans are blessed by 2 things, namely noble and ego. Noble is the knowledge that is gained from goodness, such as our belief in God, and love. While the ego is insensitivity. “Noble can be higher or ego can be higher, we need to learn to be aware that we have an ego, and have an improved awareness so that we can be good individuals for ourselves and others. Certainly being a person who can better control our noble values is higher than our ego values, “she concluded.
