[UPDATE] Indonesia Drama Educators Association (IDEAL) held their 2nd DALGONA (Dramakala Digital Workshop & Seminar) webinar series with the theme ‘Keaktoran dan Perannya di Era 4.0’

Jakarta – In this series of DALGONA webinar they invited LSPR Lecturer and a member of Teater Koma, Mr. Sobar Budiman, S.Sn., M.Sn and Parody Content Creator and also LSPR Performing Arts Communication (PAC) Alumni, Ms. Yasmin Alvina, S.I.Kom to share their experiences in performing arts industry to all participants. In addition, there are sharing sessions, and questions and answers that were also held for their webinar participants.

As an expert in theatre production for more than 35 years, Mr. Sobar is involved in several productions, films and TV series as the Actor. He was also a member of Jakarta Art Council (Dewan Kesenian Jakarta) and one of the famous theatres in Indonesia, Teater Koma from 1987 until now. At this moment, he reminds us that talent, hard work and discipline are necessary for becoming an actor. “Actor or performer has a similar definition as someone who can perform and entertain people”, he said.

Meanwhile, Ms. Yasmin proves her endless talents as an actress by impersonating famous stars from 80’s movies, ‘Grease’, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John by showing her video from her YouTube channel to all participants. She is known as Parody Content Creator and has more than 15K followers on Instagram. She was also the producer of Musical Theatre ‘Sumpah 100 Tahun’ while pursuing her career as News Anchor and Journalist at the leading News Television Station in Indonesia.

This webinar took place on Thursday, June 18th, 2020, at 16.30-18.00, followed by more than 70 people including arts enthusiast, artists, students from various universities, LSPR students from various departments, LSPR student candidates, lecturers and management of the LSPR Communication and Business Institute.

Ms. Karina, as the moderator, also provided an opportunity for participants to interact directly with Mr. Sobar and Ms. Yasmin, so the webinar this time was very interactive. The participants gained a lot of knowledge especially in theatre production during this pandemic situation. The next series DALGONA will invite resource persons who are experts in the field of arts. They have many experiences in the performing arts industry.
