[UPDATE] LSPR & Northumbria University : Presents International Examination Short Film Production Batch 21

Jakarta – 29 June 2020, LSPR Communication and Business Institute collaborated with Northumbria University, UK, held the 10^th International Examination on Short Film Production webinar. This webinar was a verification and an awarding from Northumbria University for the three best films from the total of 36 films made by the students from Batch 21 Mass Communication major. The jury or external verifier who assessed the best films in this webinar was Dr. Lee Barron, Principal Lecturer, International Recruitment and Development for the School of Design Faculty of Arts, Design & Social Sciences, Northumbria University, UK, who also gave the the award for the winners. The 1^st winner was given to “A Nature Made By Him” film from MC 21-3B. And then the film from MC 21-EXCL, “Jangan Siul”, was given an award for the 2^nd winner. For the award of the 3^rd winner was given to the film from MC 21-1B, “Haven”.

Despite all difficulties and challenges that are faced by the crews, Dr. Lee mentioned that the films that are made by the students have a great essence of storytelling which is the right way to make the film more convincing. They utilised brilliant platforms by using technology and social media. They also have succeeded in choosing the right people for the right role in their films.

He said, “Congratulations to all the winners and to LSPR for organising a very creative online awarding the first of its kind after a decade of film review at LSPR. Again the students’ work was very well done, they always surprised me with new stories, there was never a similar film produced for the past 10 years, they always have different stories to tell, which I believe it’s amazing”

Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR, Founder & CEO of LSPR Communication & Business Institute, said that this activity was held to welcome the 28 years old of LSPR age. “For a decade, LSPR has cooperated with Northumbria University, a top quality foreign university that provides input and guidance for LSPR students in studying about film and increasing the quality of film production. This is the form of LSPR’s contribution as a Communication and Business Institute in creating an excellent generation who has a competitive skill in film production internationally”, she said proudly.
