Jakarta – On Saturday, 4 July 2020, instagram account @joinlspr held 1 hour Instagram Live session with approximately more than 4000 watchers. This session was conducted by Alvin Lapian as an active LSPR Student Batch 22 who interviewed Putri Saud as LSPR Alumni Batch 17 from Mass Communication Major. Before deciding to join LSPR, Putri has always wanted to be a Mass Communication Student since High School. Many people have suggested she join LSPR. At that time, Instagram wasn’t really commonly used so that the power of word of mouth has successfully got Putri into LSPR. Alvin asked Putri about the curriculum at LSPR, and Putri explained that she likes to study in LSPR because there’s so many practical studies that are applied in LSPR. For her, getting used to doing practical work so often could be more successful later in the workplace.

Putri Saud also shared her experiment in joining Clubs or Extracurricular at LSPR. She joined Mr and Mrs LSPR, LSPR 4C, LSPR Teatro and LSPR TV. Through LSPR Clubs, we could develop and increase our soft skills that we couldn’t get in the class, building confidence is one of them. Besides, for example, Putri has joined LSPR Teatro and since the first and second semester every student has to attend Introduction to Performing Arts Communication subject, she finally found her talent in acting just like she said, “It kinda helps me to find my talent”. Then, through LSPR 4C she found herself to be involved as Environment Ambassador, that’s because she also put a lot of concern about environmental issues. And for her, to be able to contribute in such activities like planting coral and etc. Being a PR means, should be aware of common issues, and environment is one of them.

Overall, for Putri, LSPR gave her a lot of opportunities to grow, and also help the students to find their own spotlight. One of the reasons for her to finally join LSPR is because of her love for Communication Studies. For her, LSPR is a city-based campus that is quite affordable. She also explained the shifting schedule for class options and that is why a lot of actresses in the entertainment industry are most likely to join LSPR. Besides, Putri Sauld felt helped during her final year, it is because she could choose between thesis or non-thesis, it means students are able to prepare their final project with either theory based or practical based. From her viral Voice Over video, she also shared her tips in the voice over industry. How to do the voice over, and also her british accent which gained since she was a kid because of her dad as an Ambassador.
