Jakarta – LSPR batch 24 student orientation for the 2020/2011 school year was held virtually and in 3 different times. The orientation for term 1 and 2 was held 26 June and 4 September. With the title “LSPR Freshman Virtual Orientation 2020”, term 3 was also successfully held on 16 October. In total of 3 terms, thousands of new students have practically carried out the introduction of the academic and non-academic environment of LSPR Communication & Business Institute.
Started from 13.00 – 17.00, this event was held live on Zoom, with Opening remarks by Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR (Founder & CEO of LSPR Communication & Business Institute). Dr. Andre Ikhsano (Rector of LSPR Communication & Business Institute) also expressed a warm welcome to all new students who took part in this third wave orientation. Likewise with Dr. Janette M. Pinariya (Vice Rector I of LSPR Communication & Business Institute). In this event, the speakers who also presented various information to introduce LSPR were Mr. Taufan Teguh Akbari, Ph.D (Vice Rector III of LSPR Communication & Business Institute), Dr. Lestari Nurhajati (Vice Rector IV of LSPR Communication & Business Institute), Dr. Wempi (Dean Faculty of Communication) and Mr. Alppy Valdez, MMC (Dean Faculty of Business).
The introduction to supporting departments to provide an overview for new students who are in the LSPR environment is also carried out in detail. Each representative provides a brief overview of the duties and scope of the relevant department. Among them, Ms. Candy Hernandez (Head of IRPO, Careers & Employability Center & Multimedia Center), Ms. Sue Davies (Head of English Division), Ms. Vanny (Head of Student Service), Mr. Rafiuddin Akil (Head of Student Guidance), Mr. Dendy Muris (Deputy Head of UGP in Mass Media & Communication), Mr. Jimmy (Deputy Head of Marketing UGP Sudirman Park Campus), and Mr. Adi Cahyadi (Supervisor of IT & E-Learning).
The orientation of the new students at LSPR, which was divided into 3 segments, went well. Now these new students have conducted lectures that are held online. This decision certainly follows government policies and directives that still limit face-to-face teaching and learning activities to break the chain of COVID-19 spread. “With the Omni LSPR concept, we will continue to maintain the quality of academic and non-academic activities for all LSPR academics to run smoothly. For us, the use of the development of communication technology during the current pandemic is a solution”, said Mrs. Prita when talking about LSPR Omni.
