Jakarta – In the context of efforts to prevent the increasingly widespread spread of Covid-19, the LSPR Communication and Business Institute together with Satuan Tugas Penanganan Covid-19 (SATGAS Covid-19) held a socialization entitled Bincang Gaul Covid-19 “Campus Movement Against Covid-19” which was carried out online through the zoom platform (27/11). This virtual socialization was welcomed by the attendees, the number of which reached 1,000 consisting of lecturers, students, and alumnus of LSPR. This event was attended by Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR as Founder & CEO of LSPR, Lt. Gen. Doni Monardo as Head of BNPB Indonesia as well as Chair of Satgas Covid-19, and four speakers from Satgas Covid-19 Team including Dr. Ede Surya Darmawan SKM, MDM as the Expert Team, Dr. Sonny Harmadi SE, ME as the Head of Behavior Change, Troy Pantouw, Spsi, MA, FPR as the Head of the Public Communication Sub-Division and dr. Budi Santoso, MRes as the Expert Team Staff and the Health Management Division.
The first speech was delivered by Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR. She explained the contribution of LSPR in implementing health protocols on campus. Mrs. Prita also shared her experiences as a Covid-19 survivor. She emphasized in his speech that apart from washing hands, wearing masks, and maintaining distance we also need to increase immunity. “Get enough rest, good sleep is important so that we have immunity to fight Covid-19,” said Ibu Prita.
Followed by remarks from the Head of BNPB Indonesia and the Chair of Satgas Covid-19, Mr. Lt. Gen. Doni Monardo. In his remarks, he said that young people or the millennial generation are carriers of the transmission virus and high cases of OTG. “The majority of those infected with Covid-19 are young people, and the case is OTG, so they can transmit the Covid-19 virus to the people around them without realizing it. Thus, I hope that all of you can take care of themselves, do not take Covid-19 lightly, stick to health protocols, and increase immunity,” said Mr. Doni.
The next session was the presentation of material moderated by Dr. Sri Ulya Suskarwati. At the first presentation Dr. Ede Surya Darmawan SKM, MDM explained the important role that can be played by every sector and level of society to overcome Covid-19 by taking precautions from yourself so that the disease does not spread. At the end of his presentation, he and Satgas Covid-19 invited us to apply faith, security and immunity to avoid Covid-19 and other diseases. The second presentation of material was delivered by Dr. Sonny Harmadi SE, ME regarding behavioral change efforts that can be done in an academic environment. He said that different targets mean different communication strategies. For example, for targeting young people, the influence of their favorite idols is used to change their behavior, or it could be by creating songs to be more reminded to comply with health protocols.
The presentation of the last two materials was delivered by Troy Pantouw, Spsi, MA, FPR and dr. Budi Santoso, Mres. As the Head of the Sub Division of Public Communication, Mr. Troy explained the effective communication strategies in an effort to comply with health protocols. He explained, there are 4 main programs in the field of public communication, namely media collaboration through behavior change campaigns, making journalists as behavior change agents, collaborating with communities, key opinion leaders and social activists to conduct persuasion, and utilizing social media. Meanwhile, dr. Budi, as the Expert Team and Health Management Staff, explained about the 3T (Testing, Tracing, and Treatment) efforts in handling the Covid-19 pandemic. (Hanifah)
