Jakarta – The establishment of the Kartini School in 1912 in Semarang became a point of revival for women’s equality. From a collection of letters sent by Kartini to her European friends compiled in the book Door Duisternis tot Licht, Kartini’s thoughts at that time made a change in thinking for the Dutch on indigenous women at that time. The change in thinking about the position of indigenous women was strengthened after the writer Armijn Pane translated Door Duisternis tot Licht into a five-chapter book entitled Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang.
The spirit of change inspired many national figures such as W.R Supratman, who eventually composed a song for Kartini. Until the appointment of R.A Kartini to be a national hero by President Soekarno on May 2, 1964; as well as determining Kartini’s birthday to be Kartini’s Day. Her thoughts have inspired many women in Indonesia that position of women has the same opportunities as men in every area of life. No exception at LSPR Communication & Business Institute. In LSPR, women have the same portion as men in quantity and quality who assume a big responsibility.
On Kartini Day, April 21, @lsprjakarta presents the figure of Mrs. Endang as a modern Kartini who shares the same responsibilities as other security fathers. A woman who is firm, strong, brave and tough, also a gentle figure who loves her family as a wife and a mother.
Happy Kartini’s Day, Londoners. Continue to be inspired and inspire.
