Jakarta – ASEAN Autism Network together with LSBA launches Autism Works where they actively seek internship and employment opportunities to students and graduates from London School Beyond Academy (LSBA) graduating students who are looking for host companies for internship programmes. The AAN Secretariat & LSBA creates sustainable empowerment opportunities in compassionate workplaces. First launched in 2019 were 4 LSBA students from Batch 4 were given an opportunity to work with ASEAN Foundation (November 2019 – March 2020) and at ASEAN Secretariat (March 2020 – July 2020) as part of their Internship Programme. “We are grateful to have ASEAN Secretariat and ASEAN Foundation, who opened their doors in giving opportunities for the Internship Programme for person with Autism. We are hoping that we can get more support from other companies just like Doubletree by Hilton in embracing the vision of an “Autism Friendly Environment” in Indonesia. Through the implementation of Internship and Employability Training for person with Autism under AAN-LSBA Internship and Career Placement Initiative.” said Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA,MCIPR,APR Director & Founder of LSCAA-LSBA and the Secretary General of ASEAN Autism Network Secretariat, Jakarta Indonesia.
This June, Doubletree by Hilton opened their doors to accept 2 LSBA students from Batch 4 for a 3 month Internship Programme. Muhamad Rifqi Adiono was chosen to join the Marketing Communication Department and Ignatius Danny Lie to join Human Resources Department. AAN & LSBA Autism Works Indonesia empowers Person with Autism and their families towards success at work and guides the companies towards a sustainable process to openly accept persons with autism into the workplace either on Internship Programme or Job Placement.
