Jakarta – On 18 June 2021, with collaboration between International Relations Communication Studies of LSPR Communication & Business Institute and Research Centre, the Book Discussion Webinar of ‘DIPLOMASI: Kiprah Diplomat Indonesia di Mancanegara’ was held virtually through the Zoom platform. This Webinar invited Bapak Dr. Darmansyah Djumala (Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Austria and the United Nations), Bapak Widyarka Ryananta (Indonesian Consulate General to New Caledonia 2014-2017), and Bapak Hari Ashariyadi (DCM of the Indonesian Embassy in France 2012-2016), all contributors to the book itself.
‘DIPLOMASI: Kiprah Diplomat Indonesia di Mancanegara’ is a collection of writings by the Indonesian Diplomats based on their experiences during their post abroad. It covers various issues of Indonesia’s foreign policy and cooperation with many countries from politics, security, economy, social, cultural, to the protection of Indonesian citizens abroad. The content of the writings does not only describe the facts from the field but also analyzes the dynamics of the diplomatic process. Thus, the book provides comprehensive insights both in breadth and depth to the readers.
In this Webinar, Bapak Dr. Darmansyah Djumala, Bapak Widyarka Ryananta, and Bapak Hari Ashariyadi had the opportunity to dissect the very core of their writings—providing in-depth insights regarding their first-hand experience as Diplomats in their respective country of deployment. As a popular topic within International Relations, the Webinar had more than 200 participants, including students and lecturers from LSPR Communication & Business Institute. Having an interactive flow, this Webinar provided a questions and answer session, which further accommodates the enthusiasm from participants. From this Webinar, it is hoped that all participants—in particular the International Relations Communication students—are inspired and motivated to achieve their dreams within the International Relations spectrum and can become the next generation of future Indonesian Diplomats.
