Jakarta – TEDxLSPR officially opened on July 17, 2021. This event was held virtually through ZOOM Meeting at 10.00-12.00 WIB. For the first TEDxLSPR, LSPR presented local speakers who are experts under the theme of “Finding The X” to convey their innovative and worthwhile ideas.  The event was opened by TEDxLSPR Lead Organizer Angelyca Jeftine, and LSPR Vice Rector III Taufan Teguh Akbari. “The first ever TEDxLSPR with the theme of “Finding The X” aims to feature ideas worth spreading from either within the LSPR community or externally, in order to help the audience of TEDxLSPR in their journey of finding their X” said Angelyca.

The first speaker for TEDxLSPR was Founder and CEO of LSPR Communication and Business Institute, Prita Kemal Gani MBA, MCIPR, APR, who brought the topic of discussion “Women in Business”. “There are six Xs (things) that successful women do; having big dreams, having confidence, well-being, attitude, ethics, mastery relationship skill, leadership skill, organizational skills, keeping the promise, and doing their best,” said Prita in TEDxLSPR.

Margianta Surahman Juhanda Dianta as speaker

The second speaker is UNICEF Young Leader Consultant, Margianta Surahman Juhanda Dianta. He has been engaged in local and global development networks, particularly on youth participants, global health, and social justice. Margianta said that in this difficult situation (pandemic), we as humans are better off collaborating than competing. This can help Indonesia to rise from the economic downturn due to the pandemic.

Andhini Miranda explain about zero waste.

The last speaker was a Zero Waste Life Practitioner, Andhini Miranda. She is a mom and housewife who has been living with her family since 2012. “Zero waste is a mindset. (Zero waste) is not a lifestyle but a way of life. How to reduce the impact of environmental damage on our lives,” said Andhini.

TEDxLSPR did not only present speakers who speak in one-way communication. At the end of the event, TEDxLSPR gave the opportunity for participants to have discussions with the speakers through a Networking Session. In this session, participants were given the opportunity to choose a breakout room consisting of each speaker. The Networking Session also marks the last session of TEDxLSPR.
