Jakarta – “Understanding How Digital Transformation is Changing the Face of Entrepreneurship in Indonesia” virtual workshop which was held on the 6th of August 2021 was one of the results of the joining of LSPR Communication and Business Institute to the Alibaba Global Digital Talent (GDT) programme. This workshop was attended by two LSPR Communication and Business Institute lecturers who are certified for the Alibaba GDT Programme, Sandy Adithia S.Sn., M.A.B. and Xenia Angelica Wijayanto S.H., M.Si. as the speakers. This workshop was also attended by Emilya Setyaningtyas as the LSPR Communication and Business Institute’s Head of Communication Reputation Department.

Sandy Adithia S.Sn., M.A.B. explaining the benefit of Inclusive Trade for MSMEs

Sandy Adithia S.Sn., M.A.B. begun the first workshop session by talking about How Digital Inclusiveness Transform the MSMEs in Indonesia. According to him, the inclusiveness of digital economy transformation has a great potential in creating development and equality across all economic sectors, which at the end will solve various of problems in the society – health, education, economy, and social.

Sandy Adithia S.Sn., M.A.B. explaining about Inclusive Finance

Sandy Adithia S.Sn, M.A.B. underlined three areas of digital inclusivity: Inclusive Technology, Inclusive Trade, and Inclusive Finance. These three areas enabled entrepreneurs on micro, small, and medium levels to gain funding and to do a more effective and efficient business practice with technology, which potentially will grow their businesses to a larger scale. At the end of this workshop session, Sandy Adithia S.Sn., M.A.B. advised us to be able to spot opportunities, analyze it carefully, and execute it in the best possible way.

Xenia A. Wijayanto, S.H., M.Si. explaining about digital transformation barrier

The workshop was then continued to the second session which was presented by Xenia A. Wijayanto, S.H., M.Si. with the theme “Working Culture Transformation During Pandemic”. In this session, Xenia A. Wijayanto S.H., M.Si. underlined that digital transformation is human transformation, with its biggest barrier being cultural and behavioral changes, from activities done in real life with real human interactions, to activities done from our gadget without any direct human interaction. Therefore, in order for digital transformation to succeed, we need digital culture which consists of five things: open communication with external parties such as customers and clients, delegating work, being bold in taking risks and learning from our mistakes, work agility, and value collaborative work over individual efforts.

At the end of this session, Xenia A. Wijayanto, S.H., M.Si. advised Indonesian youths to have the right skills, mindset, and attitude to face the emerging digital transformation.
