Jakarta – On Friday, August 6, 2021, the Indonesia Muda Performing Arts Community (IMPAC) held a documentary and monologue performance with the title Kaluwarga. The show, produced by PAC 22-1TP, is part of The 16th LSPR PAC Festival. Due to the rise of Covid-19 cases in Jakarta, this show must take place online and can be watched on the Indonesia Muda Performing Arts Community’s Youtube Channel.
Kaluwarga tells the story of three daughters, namely Ayu the only daughter, Grace the middle child, and April the eldest child who experience different problems in their home. Each of their families also have their own values to hold but it doesn’t suit them. They looked at each other wishing that they could switch places so they thought they could’ve a better life. Ayu hopes to be Grace who has many family members so that she is not lonely. Grace hopes to have a warm family like April. And April hopes to live with only her biological mother like Ayu. Sometimes we want what we don’t have and sometimes we want to be someone else. But at the end of the day, it isn’t always about what you see but what’s beneath.
The show was opened by remarks from Mrs. Prita Kemal Gani, MBA, MCIPR, APR as Founder & CEO of LSPR Communication and Business Institute, Jihan as Production Manager and Virgi as Director. Through this production, PAC 22-1TP wants to show parents that good communication is the key to family harmony. At the end of the show Mr. Andrew Trigg, B.SC., M.A. as the Plan & Production Lecturer gave the closing remarks.
