Jakarta – On Friday, August 20, 2021, PAC 22-1TP and PAC 22-2TP conducted an international plan & production management exam discussing their latest project, namely Kaluwarga and Alice New Musical. The exam takes place online via zoom. Each class presented their project and was evaluated by Ms. Maree Cole from Edith Cowan University Australia. These two shows, both Kaluwarga and Alice New Musical, were previously planned to be performed live at The Amani Palladium Theater LSPR Transpark Juanda, Bekasi. However, due to the government’s decision related to the increasing number of COVID-19 cases, these two shows were finally produced and displayed online.

LSPR PAC Students explain their project to Ms. Maree

Kaluwarga Documentary & Monologue aims to provide knowledge regarding the relationship between parents and children from various perspectives. This creation of PAC 22-1TP tells the story of three main characters who have their own values and family problems. This story is inspired by their own experiences and some research in the community about misconceptions regarding the relationship between parent-child perspectives. The initial concept of Kaluwarga was more dramatic with a heavy topic, then the concept was changed to be lighter and more colorful with a pop art style so that it can entertain people in this difficult era.

PAC 22-2 TP explained about the differences between their two script and concept

Alice New Musical has a big theme with a message about freedom, freedom of choice and expression. Inspired by the story of Alice in Wonderland which was later adapted and applied to the social conditions of the Indonesian people who tend to be closed in terms of mindset, Alice New Musical tells the story of women who are trying to be independent despite getting a lot of pressure from their social environment. PAC 22-2TP wants to show how women can and have the right to express themselves and choose what they want to go. Alice New Musical brings a new color for the representation of the society, for the society to keep their eyes open and being mindfully opened.

Photo session with participants

After the presentation was over, it was followed by a question and answer session with the examiners. Ms Maree Colee asked several questions related to the production process and the level of difficulty of each job desk.
