Jakarta – The LSPR Business and Communication Institute collaborated with Good Doctor, a health technology startup, held a webinar entitled Tips for Healthy Living Before and After Vaccination last Friday (24/09). This webinar invites Dr. dr. I Gusti Putu Suka Aryana, Sp.PD-KGer as the speaker. He is a doctor specialist in internal medicine as well as a lecturer at Udayana University.
Before discussing the tips for healthy living which are today’s topic, Dr. Gusti explained at a glance information on the development of Covid-19 cases that occurred in Indonesia. Covid-19 cases were high in July and now they have decreased too much. He said there are three factors that cause a person to get sick, namely the agent (virus), the environment and the host. To be able to fight disease we must recognize the virus, manipulate the environment, and increase immunity.
Entering the core of the discussion, Dr. Gusti shared tips on healthy living before and after the vaccine and even these tips can be applied during the pandemic. There are three things you can do to maintain immunity. First, keep your mind positive, no stress and stay relaxed. Second, make sure the body gets good nutrition. Nutrition is fundamentally important in supporting immunity. Healthy nutrition is nutrition that is diverse and balanced and the composition is adjusted to age. Lastly, keep doing physical activity with some regular exercise. There are so many benefits of exercising in addition to increasing immunity, which can control blood sugar, improve lung function, control weight, reduce the risk of heart disease, even the brain’s ability to think will be better.
On this occasion Dr. Gusti also explained about what a vaccine is, how the process of antibodies is formed, types of immunity, and other things related to vaccination. After the presentation of the material, the webinar was followed by a question and answer session guided by Mr. Matra Wardhana as MC. Finally, the webinar closed with a group photo of the webinar participant.
