Jakarta – Kirti Parkash Sharma (Kirti), a Postgraduate Student from Business Communication Management Major Batch 34 was awarded as the “Best Presenter” at The 1st Brawijaya International Conference on Communication Studies, held virtually on 27-28th October 2021. She secured 1st position from a total of 19 speakers who presented their academic research results at the event. 

Hosted by Brawijaya University, the event invited keynote speakers from different parts of Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia and USA. With the theme “Pandemic COVID-19 Now and Then: Disaster, Health Crisis, and Communication Challenge,” the event encouraged researchers and post-graduate students in the field of Communication Studies to present their research results. With the initial stage of peer-blind review, applicants had to submit their research abstracts to be selected by the academic panels in early October. 19 best researchers were selected and authors were given the opportunity to present their papers at the conference, in which 3 best papers were selected, followed by an overall best presenter.
