The speakers

Mr. Jose Velasco once explained that the world is constantly changing while also being connected to one another. These conditions lead us to believe that we are together in creating a better world. It is important to build stronger relations between countries and global organizations in order to keep connected and prepared for any world conditions. Other than that, Mr. Jose Velasco also mentioned that we need the right equipment in order to walk the world. It is similar to diving where we need to be prepared with all of the equipment like oxygen, googles, swimwear, and many more to enable us to solve world problems or simply building a better place for everyone.

The speakers

A lot of problems may occur in our world but one thing for sure, we must rely on facts and news that are based on datas. It was explained by Dr. Fiona Suwana, that data analysis is one of the most important skills to learn in order to help us analyze the current situation of everything, be it social phenomenon, business, research, or just schoolwork. Data that is well organized and well presented can be the key in solving the right problems. Data helps us to see clearer whether there were problems or whether our plan or campaign achieved its goals. Data basically becomes our guidance in running a plan.

The speakers

Nowadays, according to the data, one of the industries that are impacted by the global situation is financial technologies. Mr. Mark Bruny further explained that technologies hit and impact the financial sector really hard. Technologies enable us to be connected with finance itself. The existence of financial technologies makes it easier for us to spend our budget, in one click we can have anything that we desire. But alongside that comes a big responsibility to spend our budget wisely. It is important to take notes on our spending and it is better to have a list of what we actually need. It is necessary to avoid having a loan. Doing an investment is suggested but always remember not to give 100% of our allowance into investment, we still need to prepare for our daily needs.

LSPR OMNI is part of a lecturer exchange programme, an initiative to balance the student’s online and offline academic learning in addressing the “new normal” environment.  LSPR OMNI is similar to LSPR Lecturer Exchange Programme, however due to travel restrictions, we wanted to continue the implementation by making this available online. LSPR OMNI started in 2020 where international lecturers come and teach LSPR students through online classes. This year, LSPR OMNI will be held  from 29th October 2021 until 17th December 2021. The distinctiveness of this year’s session of LSPR OMNI is that the sessions are available for all LSPR students without any limitation. We want to reach and invite all LSPR students to join and take learning beyond borders.
