He expressed his hope that the implementation of the first phase of LSPR UPSCALES will also have an impact in improving the quality of students and the LSPR Communication & Business Institute as universities to be ready to compete in globalization. This was conveyed by him through the following excerpt from his speech:
“The internet has accelerated the globalization and has forced almost all industry into an era of digital disruption. The need to be able to adapt to the digital world is getting stronger due to the COVID-19 pandemic which limits face-to-face communication in the classroom for educators. The lecturer exchange program is a program design that is included in one of LSPR’s plans to increase the rankings nationally and to make LSPR as a World Class University. The exchange of lecturers is also to improve the skills of LSPR lecturers, as well as multicultural insight. Previously, LSPR had sent several lecturers in a lecturer exchange program, without any requirement to make an impact or output after they’ve back from the exchange program. Based on the results of the evaluation, the LSPR Upscale program is proposed with the hope of encouraging lecturers to increase the capacity of themselves and students as well as the LSPR.”
After joining several of these trainings above, the lecturers were wished to apply the knowledge to make short films with the theme of SDG’s by collaborating with five (5) students from various concentrations in the Faculty of Communication, Public Relations, Marketing Communication, International Relations, Broadcasting & Digital Media Communication, and Performing Art Communication. All of the short films will be included as the entries in the SDG Film Festival 2022.
