Synopsis :
‘Corpse Bride’ is an original film written by John August, Pamela Pettler, and Caroline Thompson with characters created by Tim Burton and Carlos Grangel. Set in the late 18th century European village, it follows the story of Victor Van Dort, a young man who is whisked away to the underworld and wed to a mysterious Corpse Bride (Emily) while his real bride waits bereft in the Land of the Living. Though life in the Land of the Dead proves to be a lot more colorful than his strict Victorian upbringing, Victor learns that there is nothing in this world, or the next, that can keep him away from love. It’s a tale of optimism, romance, odyssey, and a very lively afterlife, told to give the audience a new perspective on grief and redemption.
