Jakarta – 10th February 2022 LSPR Communication and Business Institute hosted the IISMA Partnership Meeting featuring Singapore Management University (SMU). The meeting was attended by Mr. Andi Rahadiyan Wijaya, Ph.D. the IISMA Program Coordinator, Dr. Andre Ikshano the Rector of LSPR Communication and Business Institute, Dr. Janette M Pinanriya the Vice Rector I of LSPR Communication and Business Institute, Mr. Tan Sook the Head of Partnerships (Asia Pacific) and Profiles of Singapore Management University International Office, Ms. Zoey Lim the ASEAN Partnership, Singapore Management University International Office, and respective Indonesian universities and IISMA grant receivers.
The IISMA Partnership Meeting featuring Singapore Management University (SMU) focused on discussing the possibility of international collaboration between Indonesia’s university and Singapore Management University (SMU). The international program of SMU is available for undergraduate programs, where SMU offers various types of admissions and additional programs such as student exchange, dual degree program, and many more. SMU Campus is equipped with modern environmentally friendly technology and encourages students to have a comfortable learning environment.
Mr. Tan Sook Head of Partnerships (Asia Pacific) and Profiles of SMU International Office mentioned that it is an honour to be able to be part of the IISMA program and it is a big opportunity for both sides to engage on an international scale. It also enables the students to have more experience and to explore more both in educational and practical studies.
Dr. Andre Ikshano the Rector of LSPR Communication and Business Institute also stated that the cooperation between IISMA and global universities has enabled students to be exposed to international cultures that can be a great turning point for students in deciding their futures.
It is also supported by what Mr. Andi Rahadiyan Wijaya, Ph.D. the IISMA Program Coordinator explained where the IISMA Program aims to equip students with cross-cultural skills & awareness, the opportunity to gain knowledge and skills from world renowned universities, learn to build international networks, and pursue own interests through multidisciplinary courses.
Indonesian International Student Mobility Awards (IISMA) is the Government of Indonesia scholarship scheme to fund Indonesian students for mobility programs at top universities overseas. Undergraduate students could spend one semester at the overseas university partner to study, to experience the host country’s culture and undertake practical assignments to hone their skills. The scheme is centrally managed by Directorate General of Higher Education (DGHE), Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC) and is open for undergraduate students from all Indonesian higher education institutions under DGH.
