Jakarta – 30 June 2023, LSPR Institute of Communication and Business collaborates with Coventry University from the United Kingdom, De Montfort University from the United Kingdom, Media Discourse Centre and Documentary Media Centre from The United Kingdom, Nottingham College from the United Kingdom, American University Phnom Penh from Cambodia, Myanmar, Panasonic Gobel Indonesia, Hosei University, Japan have successfully organised a series of activities leading to the 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival which includes SDG Film Festival Workshop (Mediation of Sustainability Conference), SDG Film Festival Conference (The Mediation of Sustainability Conference), SDG Summit, SDG Film Festival Screening, and SDG Film Festival Awarding Day. The 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival aims to provide students with an experience in producing films that can highlight the importance of solutions to global challenges and current environmental sustainability such as social equality, the environment, human and civil rights, as well as the need to raise awareness of this problem in developing countries.

The 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival is held offline and online at the LSPR Transpark Amani Palladium Theatre where there are 70 international film entries from various countries participating in the 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival. Then 14 featured films were selected which received awards and a total prize of $2,045 USD, namely:

Also, many thanks to LSPR Communication and Business Institute and LSPR International Office team who amazingly hosted the 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival. In the 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival, we are happy to announce as well that LSPR SDGs Center has been inaugurated by Ms. Indriana Nugraheni, the Manager for Justice and Governance Pillar on SDGs Indonesia at the Ministry of National Development Planning / National Development Agency of Republic Indonesia. We hope with the inauguration, it will bring the spirit and commitment of LSPR Institute of Communication and Business to build a more sustainable campus for the future generation. In addition to that, LSPR commitment was also supported by the PT. Panasonic Gobel Indonesia, where Mr. Kazuya Saito as President Director Panasonic Gobel Life Solutions Indonesia was also present at the event and gave the awards for the Developmental Disabilities Award.

Mr. Summer Xia the Country Director British Council Indonesia had also joined the 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival and given his support to all participants while giving his warm welcome remarks and to maintain the relations between Indonesia and the United Kingdom universities in building a sustainable living world together.

The SDG Film Festival is a series of annual activities where we gather film producers, photographers, academics, and the nation’s next generation who want to take part in proclaiming the importance of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) activities and activities for the United Nations. We hope that the series of activities of the 5th Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Film Festival can be a motivation for every participant to help achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) designed by the United Nations (UN) in order to end world hunger, improve health services, and the provision of education, resolving gender inequalities, providing clean water and sanitation services, protecting the environment, developing affordable energy, creating decent jobs, and facilitating social justice and peace.
