Ten of our students participated in this fun and enriching study tour programme in the Big Apple, New York and also an overnight stay in Taipei from March 6-16, 2015. The students participated in activities such as sightseeing & cultural visits to Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and Taipei 101 in Taipei, as well as experience shopping at the famous Shilin night market before heading to New York.

In New York, the students attended filmmaking workshops at the New York Film Academy (NYFA) – Battery Park Campus, which emphasized on script writing, screen writing, hands on camera, producing, directing, acting and editing at NYFA and they produced a 90 seconds short movie for their final film project which were being aired during the final screening followed by awarding ceremony.

Besides attending their film making class at NYFA, they also had the opportunity to take the hop on hop off bus and visited some famous tourist attractions such as Broadway, Times Square, 5thAvenue, Chinatown, Little Italy, Empire State Building, Rockefeller, Statue of Liberty, Manhattan, Brooklyn Bridge, Central Park and other places of interests. The study tour ended on March 14 and the NYFA study group arrived safely in Jakarta on March 16, 2015. Besides getting the benefits of 9 sks and 10 NAP points, students also gained invaluable experience and exposure from the winter study tour programme in New York, USA.
