LSPR Public Speaking is one club that is incorporated with LSPR Student League, has gained another achievements in their fields, which is speech and debate both in Indonesian and English.
The first competition was with LSPR Public Speaking Club joined the Speech Competition at Mercu Buana University, MBEC National English Event 2014, last November 2014. Three representatives from LSPR Public Speaking Club joined the competition; Ahmad Hammudi Assegaf (batch 17), Ferdinand Andre (batch 18) and Yoshka D.Adrianto (batch 16). It was the first achievement for Irwan Candra’s team in their working year of 2014-2015. All of them made it into the Grand Finals, Yoshka D. Adrianto won the 1st winner, Ferdinand Andre won the 2nd winner and Ahmad Hammudi Assegaf in the 4th place.
LSPR Public Speaking Club then joined another greater competition at Bandung last February 2015, held by The Asian Law Students’ Association of Padjajaran University, ALSA English Challenge UNPAD 2015 in speech category. Ahmad Hammudi Assegaf and Ferdinand Andre joined the competitions to representatives LSPR. They both made it into Grand Finals, Ferdinand Andre as first runner up and Ahmad Hammudi Assegaf won as the 1st winner.
The last three competition LSPR Public Speaking Club joined was at Depok last April 2015, held by The Asian Law Students’ Association University of Indonesia, ALSA English Competition UI 2015 in speech category. After the selection, Shania Safira Haroen (batch 18) and Ahmad Hammudi Assegaf participated the competitions to represent LSPR. Again over the hard work done, this time Shania Safira Haroen made it into Grand Finals with four of the other participants from another city in Indonesia and Shania Shafira Haroen won the 3rd winner.
With the three competitions and four trophies, LSPR Public Speaking Club believes that everyone has potentials, everyone is great at speaking but only the ones with full dedication on what they are doing are able to stand out. This is why Public Speaking Club always convinces the club’s members that they are amazing and they worth to be called as winners. Winners never give up and must keep increasing their skills by practicing & joining competitions.
