Indonesia is often underestimated not only by foreigners, but also by its own people. AEC 2015 will be a challenge for Indonesia to prove to the world that the negative outlook on Indonesia is not always true. So far, Indonesia is less competitive but Indonesia is improving. The facts are; the GDP growth is positive, middle class expansions, and human capital index is getting better. These three points give big opportunity for Indonesia to compete with 650 million people in ASEAN.

People who know about the 2015 AEC often feel scared and wondering about what they should do to face this global competition. “There is no real strategy in terms of ASEAN Competition. The best strategy is by making yourself better,” said Leonard Theosabrata.

DEADLINE public discussion ended with door prizes for 3 winners who received a cash prize of Rp. 500,000.00 each and closed by LSPR Dance who brought a beautiful dance with ASEAN members’ flags. (Cornelia Alverina, Denny Yohannes)
