International Relations’ students from 16-4C proudly presents ‘Di Sekitar Kita’ Friday, June 12th at House Apartment Pavilion. This event started from 4 PM until 8 PM.
Di Sekitar Kita wants us to have an open-mindset about all issues around the world, especially about Lesbian-Gay-Bisexual –Transgender (LGBT) watching “Sanubari Jakarta” film. Ten stories strung in a town called Jakarta, with 10 different angle of view from each director. These stories then bringing and stringing love in every character. Having drama, romance, a little bit comedy, and the human conflict in it, the film that has been released in 2012 was able to cover other things that happened in Jakarta within 100 minutes.
After watching the movie, the audience are invited to discuss the film and the issues inside. There are Dinda Kanyadewi, whose one of the director and actress of ” Sanubari Jakarta “, and Dede Utomo, a community activist and founder of gender equality, was invited to be the speaker during that event. This event actually persuade and makes us to be more sensitive and understand the things that is happening around us, as well as helping to find our identity. (Ara, Denny, Nina)
