Southeast Asian Games (Southeast Asian Games), or commonly known as SEA Games held in Singapore this year and involving 11 countries from Southeast Asia, namely; Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Myanmar, Laos, Timor Leste, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Brunei. One of the sports that the athletes competed in the 2015 SEA Games is Water Skiing. Countries who joined the Water Skiing Sports Competition among others are Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, and Thailand.
One Indonesia’s athlete who participated in this sport is Rossi Amir LSPR student from Batch 17. Rossi Amir elected by the union of Water Ski & Wakeboard throughout Indonesia after a rigorous selection together with other potential athletes. It was her first time to compete at SEA Games, together with other Indonesian representatives, Rossi managed to dominate the category Jump Women’s Open held last Saturday, June 14th, 2015.
Water Ski Team Gold medal successfully contributed to Indonesia, even in the category Women’s Overall, Rossi also managed to break her own record as far as 30.5 meters. This achievement managed to shift the Malaysian athletes who jump as far as 20.2 meters. At the 2015 SEA Games in Singapore this water skiing also includes sports that accounts for most gold for Indonesia in the SEA Games in 2015 in Singapore. Branch Water Skiing Indonesia was the overall winner with the acquisition of a total of 13 medals, namely; 4 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 2 bronze medals.
