As a program that introduces the world of Public Relations, PR Corner celebrates it’s first anniversary. The celebration was held last Tuesday, 15 September 2015 invited guest H.E Dino Patti Djalal, as the interviewee on the topic on “The Role of PR in Emerging Country”. This event was held at Prof Dr. Djayusman Auditorium & Performance Hall, Campus B, Jakarta. As a host of PR Corner, Prita Kemal Gani was accompanied by M. Arif Bakri, S.Sos as her co-host who is also one of the lecturer at London School of Public Relations Jakarta.

The talk show began to discussed about the role of PR in emerging countries such as Indonesia. Through the discussion, Dino Patti Djalal explained that the promotion of our country hasn’t reach its maximal, as well as how there were wasted opportunities since there is no support. As an emerging country that is involved in the ASEAN community, it was explained that between fellow ASEAN citizens could be closer with diplomacy driven to bring down the borders from cultural or economic aspect. From this talk show, Dino Patti Djalal also explained that the youth generation whom are related to sports has decreased due to the relationship between achievement and investment. Through the discussion, it was said that if we want to create an achievement, it begins with intensive practice and the best facilities. As an originator of diaspora for Indonesians in the United States of America, he also explained that Indonesia can be PR-able through networking.

This event was welcomed by the audience and amusement with PR Corner Band’s performance, consist of students from LSPR Jakarta. Through this event, LSPR students know more about the role of public relations in emerging countries and also what they need to do to introduce Indonesia as a compatible country.
