LSPR Student League held an open debate of the president and vice president candidates that will be elected for the period 2015 – 2016, it was held last Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Prof.  Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall Campus B, London School of Public Relations Jakarta.

The event aims to introduce the student league president and vice president candidates to LSPR students, as well as a platform to look at the competence of each candidates. The first candidate was Rio Yudhoyono and Vega Bellatrix, the second candidate was Ahmad Hamudi Assegaf and Fathie Busyra and the third candidate was Memmito Santoso and Ridho Delian.

The three candidates elaborated their vision and mission, the programs that will be implemented over the next year, answered questions asked by the panelists, as well as answer questions from the supporters of  each candidates. One of four panelists who attended was Mr. Deddy Irwandi, who asked about “how would they lead the student league sovereignty?” The question is for the second candidate. “To achieve sovereignty, we need dignity, we must understand what the student wishes, instead of being an authoritative leader” said Ahmad Assegaf.

The next question for the first candidate “how do you increase the sense of nationalism around LSPR?” Rio Yudhoyono answered “we will hold events nuanced nationalism, but it will still be fun”. And the question for the third candidate “If you become the leader of  student league, will you invite us to follow demonstrations related to national issues?” Memo said ” We do not need to hold demonstrations, we are educated students who can arrange an appointment with related politicians.” (Nanda Nastiti / Citra Nandini / Yolanda Nuraini)
