Subject Basic of Journalism was held on Friday, 2 October 2015 at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium Performance Hall, Campus B, LSPR Jakarta, invited guest lecturer was Mr. Abdul Manan from  Alliance of Independent Journalists (AJI).

Mrs. Martha Warta Silaban and Mr. Edhy Aruman as the lecturer for that subject, also attended to accompany Mr. Abdul Manan who presented about press freedom. He was a journalist from Tempo, Mr. Abdul Manan also explained about the welfare of the press to Batch 18 students majoring in Mass Communication.

In this lecture, Mr. Abdul Manan explained about the importance of press freedom. Freedom of the press is freedom of expression, he also explained about the Constitution (UUD) No. 40 of 1990, the press during the new order had regulations in the field of print media which was limited by SIUP (Business License Company), regulation of the media (TV, radio) was limited by SIUP so at that time the number of private TV companies were less than 15 during the new order.
