LSPR Choir Goes To Spain Pre Competition Concert

Saturday afternoon, 5th of December 2015 at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall echoed harmonies of beautiful tones. The sound was coming from LSPR Choir that held its Pre Concert Competition for their upcoming performance for the World Choir Games in Spain in October 2016. This event was conducted to disseminate to the public, especially the London School Of Public Relations Jakarta family, about the preparations to join the international choir competition. Pre Concert Competition itself will be held 3 times and for this time it was conducted in two sessions, afternoon and evening. In this appearance, they collaborate with LSPR Big Band where it was the first time the band performed in front of the public.

At this concert, LSPR Choir involves not only active members but also Alumni. for a two hour concert, 14 songs was sung and directed by Mr. Giovanni Tomasowa SE, MSi whom is also the coach of LSPR Choir. The theme for this concert is “From Time To Time” in which songs came from the seventies until the present time, including LSPR Hymn. The team who will join the competition later are students that has been selected with very thorough selection. The selection itself was held last December 11, 2015, prior to the selection, the participants have already been provided with the material songs that will be sung in the competition later on. Intense exercise, teamwork and support from various parties is necessary for the success in the competition. Previously LSPR Choir has won numerous prestigious awards in the international choir competition arena like at 8th World Choir Games 2014 (Riga, Italy), 1st Xinghai Prize International Choir Championships (Guangzhou, China) and The 1st Vietnam International Choir Festival and Competition. LSPR Choir hopefully can give their best performance and will make Indonesia proud.  (Nanda Wongso)
