Now on it’s 5th Year, IDEAL (Association of Drama Education Indonesia) held it’s annual art event last 24 – 26 February, Dramakala Fest 5. was held at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall and Drama Room of Campus B, LSPR Jakarta.

The event went on for 3 days and had a significant increase of numbers in participants compared to last year with a total of 57 participants in short drama and monologue. About 15 theatre participants came from outside of Jakarta, such as from Lampung, Makassar, Banten, Medan, Yogyakarta, Subang, Surakarta and Kerawang.

The judges for the monologue category in Dramakala Fest this year were Mr. Arswendo Atmowiloto, Mr. Andi Bersama, and Mr. Autar Abdillah. While for the short drama category, the judges were Mr. Harris Priadie Bah, Mr. Yusril Katil and Mr. Fathul Husein. The participants were not only judged based on their harmony as a group nor their preparation, but also on how they can develop their minds and the feelings of the character they’re playing along with their ability to send the message to the audience.

Each nomination brought home an award with plaque and cash in hand, while each winner received a trophy, cash in hand, Not only that, each winner also gets a chance to perform at Galeri Indonesia Kaya.
