Prof. Dr Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall enlivened by 171 teachers from various educational institutions who attended the  “Autism Awareness Teachers Training” on Friday, March 11, 2016. The event aimed to provide training to teachers in order to understand the existence and habits of the children with special needs and also to educate them so that they can adapt in society.

The event was divided into two sessions. The first session delivered by DR. Adriana S. Ginanjar MS, and the second session delivered by Dmkn Nenny Sirait SE and Novi Yanti Sitio, S.Pd (School of PATMOS). All three share the experience of dealing with children who have autism and how to get close to them. “Autistic children should not be kept out, because if we do so, they will never be open to us” said Ms. Novi.

This event was also enlivened by the appearance of one of the LSBA student, Ivan Sitorus, who sang “Meraih Bintang”. Teachers Training has been regularly held every year since 2008, and this year was the 24th.(Sabrina, Citra)
