21 CHUMPSTREET is a theater performance staged by LSPR students Batch 20 Class 22A. The show was staged last Monday, January 16, 2017, at 6:30 to 7:30 at night, at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall LSPR Jakarta. The Story is basically inspired from 21 JUMPSTREET the movie.
Naomi is undercover cop, and has assigned to pose as a student and uncover who’s buying and selling drugs, as part of a county-wide initiative to eradicate drugs from schools called Operation D-Minus. The school has a student suspected of being marijuana supplier. Naomi intends to do her job properly until he met with Justin, one of the students who was suspected of selling marijuana. Justin is one of the students who were thrilled when he knows that in his class there will be a new student. He has cousins who is in the same school like him, hope that the transferred student if she is a girl. And Voila! Justin was pleased to find that the transferred student is a girl.
He asks his cousins to help him for getting her. But apparently, the transferred student is Naomi. Everyday, Justin approaches Naomi and always being flirty when he is around her. He even ask her to go to prom with him, and she says she will think about it but ended up she gave every excuses for not going to prom because she realizes that she is an undercover cop. Until Naomi says that she wants marijuana. Justin, proudly a way, say that he could bring marijuana and be a marijuana supplier for her. In fact, Justin never consumes marijuana or sell it before Naomi comes. Justin do all those things because he loves Naomi and willing to do everything for Naomi. His love for Naomi is blind.
After passing the hard searching, Justin finally delivers Naomi the marijuana, but wants to give it to her out of the goodness of his heart. Naomi keep insisting he take money for it, which he eventually does. Justin would later find out it’s a felony in Florida to sell marijuana. And the penalty is even harsher for selling it on school property. In other words, Justin had made a irreversibly bad decision. And since he was over 18, he was legally an adult when he made it. In the end, the police arrested 31 students at several schools. Justin was one of them. And so the consequences that Naomi keeps promising finally arrive: Justin was arrested, discovers that selling marijuana is a felony, and pleads guilty. Despite being a first time offender with no criminal record, his life is now irreversibly changed just because he fell for a girl. (Justin/Nurul)
