MOFCOM Scholarship is set by Ministry of Commerce of People’s Republic of China to further strengthen the communication and corporation between China and other countries. On 2016 LSPR got the scholarship for some lecturers to join the international conference in China, not only that one of alumni LSPR – Cyntia Keliat (batch 13) is the one and only awardee of MOFCOM Scholarship 2016 who is pursuing her master  in Public Administration in China now.

Last 15th February 2017, Embassy of China to ASEAN in Jakarta held the Gathering for alumni and awardee of MOFCOM Scholarship and also to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year (Spring Festival) at Ballroom, Ming Restaurant 3rd Floor, Senayan City. In that moment, all the participants got a very warm welcome dinner by the Ambassador Xu Bu (Ambassador of The People’s Republic of China to ASEAN). Every Participants and colleague feel the excitement and warmest Chinese culture by Ambassador and their colleagues. The Dinner was also attended by Ms. Prita Kemal Gani, MCIPR, APR (Founder and Director LSPR), Ms. Yuliana Prasetyawati (Head of Centre of Asean Public Relations Studies), Ms. Rani Chandra Oktaviani, Ms. Mary Lemona and Ms. Yovi Bathesta that was also the alumni of MOFCOM Scholarship for International Conference.

Ambassador Xu Bu was opening the dinning with a short speech, welcome everyone to enjoy the dinner and networking. After the speech of Ambassador Xu Bu, some of alumni of International Conference Scholarship Mr. Rino F. Boer and awardee of MOFCOM Scholarship 2016 Ms. Cyntia Keliat also gave their speech.

At the same time we also celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year (Spring Festival in China) so the host start the dinner by asking every participant do the chinese tradition called “Yu-Sheng”. Yu Sheng itself is a tradition carried to welcome the Chinese New Year-related special dishes to welcoming Chinese New Year.
