Workshop with Higher School of Economic Russia is one event that was held by LSPR Bali, This workshop discussed the topics regarding globalization, ASEAN trade, and other important things. Together with HSE from Russia, students of LSPR also joined in the workshops which were held from 19 – 24 April 2017.
LSPR and Higher School of Economics Russia participated in the Workshop Programme for 6 days.
The participants stayed at Eden Kuta Hotel, Bali, while the workshop was held at LSPR Bali. On the first day, the participants were briefed about the workshop, and what will their activities will be. Later in the night, a welcoming dinner for both HSE and LSPR Students was held. The second day is the start of the workshop. Dr. Alexey Muraviev, Associate Professor from HSE Russia was the speaker on the topic “Globalization’s Waves in Asian History: What They Brought to Humankind and to Asia”. After a coffee break, Mr. Indra Kusumawardana, lecturer from LSPR were given the honor to speak about “The Emergence of New Merchant Class within Social Media in Indonesian Society”. The last session of the first day of the workshop was closed by Dr. Muraviev spoke about “How to Trade With East & South-East Asia and to Respect National Traditions.” After the workshop sessions, participants were given the time to brainstorm ideas that they will present on the third day of the workshop.

The second day of the workshop, “The Raise of Indonesian Philantrophy based on Online Social Movement” with Mr. Indra as its speaker started the day. Second session was continued by Dr. Muraviev with the topic “Religion and Trade: How They Are Connected?”. The third session, again was led by Dr. Muraviev with the last topic of the day, “Russia Opens Eyes to Asia: New Trends and Relations”. After the all sessions were done, participants were given the last time to discuss and brainstorm their ideas for the next day. The third day of the workshop, or the fourth day of their arrival, students from both HSE and LSPR were given the chance to present their fruit of brainstorming ideas. This presentation was led by both speakers, Dr,. Muraviev and Mr. Indra. The day closed with the ceremony of appreciation, which gave out certificates for all participants and of course, for the two brilliant speakers of the workshop. 24th of April 2017, the participants checked out from the hotel, and head straight to the airport to go back home to Jakarta.
