Jakarta, April 3, 2020 – Preventive and mitigating steps to anticipate the spread of Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19), LSPR Communication & Business Institute re-issued a policy related to the extension of the period of distance learning activities (online session). This policy was originally implemented on 18 – 31 March 2017. However, based on the Circular of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia Number 3 of 2020 concerning Prevention of COVID-19 in Education Units, and Decree of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Number 337 of 2020 concerning Status of Disaster Emergency Response to the COVID Plague -19, LSPR extended the holding of online sessions to 19 April 2020.

“LSPR takes preventive and mitigating steps, in order to anticipate the spread of the coronavirus. All academic and non-academic activities in the LSPR environment will continue to be carried out online. Academic Department, Thesis Department, Student Affairs Department, Library, Student Guidance Office, and Student Services are still open to accommodate services for students and parents/guardians. Of course, these services can be accessed online, “said Rector of LSPR Communication & Business Institute Dr. Andre Ikhsano. The aim is to reduce interaction and direct contact among all the LSPR academic community.

Until now, academic and non-academic activities in the LSPR environment are running smoothly. The spirit of exploring science did not find any significant obstacles during the online session. The direction of work from home and study from home is obeyed with enthusiasm and encouraging each other to keep doing positive activities in the midst of this COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. Some short videos on YouTube channel and Instagram LSPR Jakarta, as well as other social media, show the solid support of the Lecturers, Management, Staff, and Students to jointly overcome this situation. Even the #LSPRKabarBaikHari sign has been used as a symbol of various information, aspirations, and expressions, to strengthen and remind each other, those good things will lead to good results.
