Developing Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) apps for Nonspeaking Autistics in Indonesian Language: VICARA (Visually Interactive and Communication Reading Aid) version 3.0 (http://www.vicara.id)

VICARA 3.0 is a communication supporting tool, which has been developed since 2022, under a collaboration project between Tarumanagara University and LSPR Institute. This collaboration aims to develop application-based solutions in the field of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (KAA or Augmentative and Alternative Communication/AAC). It is expected that VICARA can improve communication and social participation for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities through innovative technology. VICARA is designed and developed as a technology-based AAC application that is easy to use, for Indonesian, and relevant to local needs. This application is designed to help individuals with speech disabilities to communicate more effectively.
