On 1 to 10 May 2015, the European Film Festival, Europe On Screen 2015 was held. Europe On Screen this time featuring 62 films from 21 European countries. The films screened not only stunning expression of European cultural diversity but powerful jug event to communicate ideas across borders. This year STIKOM The London School of Public Relations Jakarta got the opportunity to become a host of 18 film from Europe On Screen which began from May 4, 2015 to May 9, 2015.

There were six films in the category of The Xtra Section which is a collection of horror movies, thrillers and comedy that is The Keeper of Lost Causes, I’m So Excited, The 100-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out The Window and Disappeared, Daylight, Pioneer, and Blutgletscher. Six other films that played in LSPR Jakarta included in the category of The Documentary Section which are documentaries, among others Homme Less, The Special Need, Only The Best For Our Son, Ai Weiwei: The Fake Case, Steak (R)evolution, and On the Way to School. The last six films a movie in the category of The Discovery Section which is the films of director novice in Europe such as The guide, The Living is Easy With Eyes Closed, Animation Program, ’71, Kinshasa Kids, and For Some Reason Inexplicable.

In addition to playing the 18 films, LSPR Jakarta became one of the venue for the discussion of the film along with the author. The first discussion session held at LSPR Jakarta on May 4, 2015 is a joint Film Animation Film Discussion Gerben Schermer from the Netherlands who is Director of the Holland Animation Film Festival.

The second discussion was held at LSPR Jakarta on May 5, 2015 was Meet The Director together with Monique Nolte from Holland who is director of Only The Best for Our Son. And Ms. Judith Hees, Creative Director of the Film “Daylight”. We also had Film Production Workshop which was attended by Mass Communication Students who will be producing short film next semester for their International Certification with Northumbria. (Risvi)
