Wednesday, July 27th 2016, class 19-13A presented God Help The Girl: The Musical. The musical theater shown at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium and Performance Hall. The script rewritten by the director of class 19-13A, Janitra Diva. This class is currently under the guidance of Mrs. Renata Tirta Kurniawan, M.Si and her assistant Ms. Greta A M, plays a story about Eve Alexander Carmichael (Dienda Sarteka), who hates having to stay in hospital due to her illness namely anorexia nervosa, yet has a big dream to become a musician one day.

The Musical is an act about a romantic spark that’s shared between the two leading casts, Eve and James (Abi Zulfan R), a university lifeguard and an aspiring songwriter. Eve is soon become friends with Cassie, James’ guitar student, as soon as James introduces the two to each other. Then, Eve meets Anton (Gregorius A), an arrogant vocalist of a radio’s most sensational band. Eve wants to be loved by people, so she gives her demo tape to him in hopes the latter can pass it to radio producers. Eve also continues to write songs with Cassie and James, and even starts a band together under the name, God Help The Girl.

This theatre also showcase a variety of backdrops and props on stage, such as hospital, room, and park. While the actors are smoothly playing their respective roles and singing exceptionally well in every scenes, the crews are helping each others to prepare the stage.

The story continues as Anton finally admits he never gives Eve’s tape to producer and James eventually discovers Eve’s relationship with Anton. It’s actually a misunderstanding, yet James insist to make a distance with Eve until the former feels alone. It is only until Eve returns to hospital that the pair confesses their feelings to each others. Eve even mentions that she’s going to pursue musical studies in London. At last, Eve realizes that to continue living her life, she doesn’t have to be like or loved by many people – the most important thing is for her to keep doing things that she likes and to be grateful about everything.
