On Tuesday, July 5, 2022, the Tourism Study Program held a Guest Lecture with the theme “The Future of Hospitality Trend”. The Guest Lecture activity is one of the activities owned by the Tourism Studies Program which aims to gain direct knowledge from experts in the Hospitality Field. This Guest Lecture also invited Mr. Irmansjah Mahadewa, S.E., MM.Par., CHA., CHIA., CMTA-TQ where he is a Founder and Advisor of IHGMA (Indonesia Hotel General Manager Association). This time the Guest Lecture is an integration of the Hotel Model and Concept course lectured by Ms. Jati Paras Ayu, MM.Par.
Mr. Irmansjah Mahadewa, S.E., MM.Par., CHA., CHIA., CMTA-TQ who is fondly called Pak Inan was previously the General Manager of the Archipelago Group, namely Aston Hotel. In his presentation, he conveyed about the Hotel Business both before and after the pandemic. The hotel business is now increasingly dynamic in line with the times, one of which is Industry 4.0. More and more Business Hotels are using and absorbing the Tourism 4.0 concept, with features such as Online Booking, cashless payment, touchless facilities, digital information, and strong wifi networks in every area making Hotel Business more attractive, especially among millennials. In addition, the Covid-19 Pandemic phenomenon has led to standardization and changes in tourist behavior that are increasingly paying more attention to safety and cleanliness, therefore the Tourism and Hospitality business must have a CHSE Certificate which has been audited by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Therefore, the Digital and Pandemic transitions generate new concepts and ideas in the Hotel and Hospitality Business.
This Guest Lecture event is an activity held for Batch 2 Tourism Students. This event was opened by a Master Ceremony from Batch 2 Tourism Students as well as President Class, namely Fathiya Agamariyan Cahyani. The Dean of the LSPR Business Faculty – Yulianan R. prasetyawati, MM was also present to give a speech before the event started. In addition, this event was moderated by the Head of the Tourism Study Program and Tourism Lecturer, Ms. Jati Paras Ayu, MM.Par. For almost 2 hours, this event took place and was conducted online.
