Jakarta – Friday, July 8, 2022, LSPR held the 13th and 14th sessions of the LSPR OMNI series featuring Mr. Rajkamal Pandey, Group Head at Adfactors PR & Adjunct Faculty at School of Communication & Reputation, India and Mr. Marco M. Polo, Associate Professor, Communication & Journalism Department and Director for Advancement & External Relations Office De La Salle University-Dasmarinas, City of Dasmarinas, Cavite, Philippines. This session was moderated by Ms. Syafira and Ms. Aurelia, lecturers and staff of LSPR Institute of Communication and Business.

Mr. Rajkamal’s session began with basic concepts from understanding social media to functions for human activities or activities, regardless of the purpose, especially to support a business activity or a company. Also, he mentioned strategies in social media in the aim of one of its functions. Starting from establishing a brand social media presence, creating a social media plan, and amplifying social media.

Mr. Marco M. Polo taught about the topic of Event Risk Management. In organizing an event, it is necessary to manage the risks that can occur in an event to minimize losses or adverse impacts. In managing risk, there are processes that need to be passed such as risk identification, analysis, response planning, mitigation, and monitoring. Keep in mind the 5 C’s regarding managing risk in an event, namely concept, coordination, control, culmination, and closeout. And there is some material about the risks in an event, principles, and what to do in the event of a crisis.

LSPR OMNI is part of a lecturer exchange programme, an initiative to balance the student’s online and offline academic learning in addressing the “new normal” environment.  LSPR OMNI is similar to LSPR Lecturer Exchange Programme, however due to travel restrictions, we wanted to continue the implementation by making this available online. LSPR OMNI started in 2020 where international lecturers come and teach LSPR students through online classes. This year, LSPR OMNI will be held from 13 May 2022 until 15 July 2022. The distinctiveness of this year’ session of LSPR OMNI is that the sessions are available for all LSPR students without any limitation and some of the sessions was held offline at Prof. Dr. Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall in Sudirman Park. We want to reach and invite all LSPR students to join and take learning beyond borders.
