Lifting from the true story of an American writer and political activist, Helen Keller, was presented by class 18-15A held at Prof. Dr.Djajusman Auditorium & Performance Hall, Tuesday, August 4, 2015.
Helen Keller (Latisha Anintya) with her family living in Tuscumbia, Alabama. The scene begins with knowing that Helen became sick at the age of 19 months and lost her sense of eyesight and hearing. Doctors do not know what happened. When Helen was 7 years old, her parents decided to contact Michael Anagnos (Director of the Perkins Institute), and then he sent Anne Sullivan (Medina Anzani).
In addition to helping Helen to communicate with others, Anne also teaches Helen to be active everyday. Anne teaches with patience, butHelen always express her emotions by smashing objects around her when she is angry. After two weeks of living together in a small house,Helen slowly understand how to eat right. Anne then takes her to go out and give Helen water into her hand so that she can say “water”,after that Helen could communicate in her own way. (Uzlifat)
