Friday, April 12, 2019 – The London School of Public Relations held a meeting with high school Counseling Guidance (BK) teachers in collaboration with Musyarawah Guru Bimbingan dan Konseling (MGBK) from 8 am until 2 pm on 5th floor, LSPR Transpark Juanda Bekasi. Around 60 teachers attended the event.
The event began with re-registration and coffee morning for the teachers who arrived at the LSPR lobby before the core event began and continued with the opening ceremony on the 5th floor by MC (Jimmy) and a singing performance from two LSPR students (Aldy & Mayke).
The head of Bekasi MGBK, Mrs. Turheni and head of Jakarta MGBK, Mrs. Ester, then gave a speech which was followed by a speech from Mr Kamal, General Manager of LSPR, about LSPR. An explanation of the united teacher was then delivered by the MC (Jimmy) and continued with Mr. Untung discussing the Communication of Teachers and Students in the Millennium Era, as well as a question and answer session and also Door Prize
The purpose of this event was to introduce the LSPR campus and also educate teachers on how to communicate with students at school. “Communicating with students must be assertive, don’t be aggressive or passive so students are comfortable communicating with us,” said Mr. Untung.
“Never bring personal problems to school and vent to students,” he continued. Before a tour of the campus, LSPR also invited Samsolese (four LSPR alumni) to share their experiences of studying at LSPR. There was then a photo session together in front of the LSPR Bekasi campus and the event closed with eating together. (Heliza, Erviana)
