Wednesday, November 29, 2017, A delegation of professors from HSE – Saint Petersburg, Russia (http://spb.hse.ru/en) visited LSPR Jakarta to deliver a workshop seminar to LSPR students. . The visit began with a brief meeting with the Dean of the campus and International Relations & Partnerships Office at the Penthouse of LSPR C to discuss future collaboration with Higher School of Economics St. Petersburg campus in Russia.
Through HSE’s guest lectures, students were able to explore the Russian Culture and Traditions, learn about Russia’s modern Higher Education system as well as get a glance on historical ties and modern relations between Russia, the Asia-Pacific Countries and Indonesia in particular from the Russian prospective.
HSE and LSPR are partner universities since 2016 and run a student exchange programme. Constantine explained about their program traveling around some countries to teach the world Russian language as one of the Russian Federal Education program, they arranged some public lecturers, seminars, workshops, and classes for some universities in Indonesia. They introduced some subjects from Russia International Program for student exchange or study abroad, such as business, politics, and communications.
This seminar at LSPR was part of the HSE – Saint Petersburg’s international project «Investing into future: cooperation between Indonesia and Russia in Education, Science and Culture» that runs within the Federal Programme “Russian Language 2016-2020” and is supported by the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia. The core idea behind this project is to give international students a cultural prospective on contemporary Russia and to promote Russian Higher Education and Russian Language – Mr. Konstantin Platonov, Director of HSE – Saint Petersburg Centre for International Cooperation says.
