The Provincial Government of the Special Capital City Region of Jakarta has officially proposed the extension of the implementation of the second large-scale social restriction (PSBB) for 14 days, from May 22 to June 4, 2020. Referring to the government instruction, LSPR have decided to continue to extend online learning classes from 2 to 13 June 2020. “After that, we hope that the pandemic will decline, so we can enter face to face classes with a shift system on 15 June 2020,” explained Dr. Andre Ikhsano, Rector of LSPR Communication & Business Institute.

The shift system is a mechanism for learning activities to be carried out half offline and half online. The lecturer will conduct the offline class at campus with half of the students and online students will simultaneously receive the same class live through the class computer. The campus continues to impose physical distancing and will conduct lectures in accordance with health protocols.

“COVID 19 has had a major negative impact but we need to stay positive to fight this situation. We all need to stand together, push back fear and turn towards hope and solidarity,” he concluded.
