Jakarta – In accordance with government directives during the COVID-19 pandemic, Thesis Department has adjusted the format of the final project completion management to meet some of the requirements in achieving a bachelor of communication study. The thesis and non-thesis defense was carried out in an online format during the pandemic. And then, in the new normal transition period, the thesis defense format will be held both through online and offline.
After passing through the final stage of soft cover softcopy submission via email, on Monday (29/6), students are currently waiting for the thesis defense schedule set by the Thesis Department. According to observations of several trial schedules that have been prepared, it is known that the thesis defense will be conducted in an online and offline format. Located in the LSPR Jakarta campus, the thesis defense will be held offline, and of course with strict health protocol. Meanwhile, specifically for students and examiners who are unable to attend the thesis defense due to health conditions and domicile location that made it impossible to reach the campus safely, the thesis defense will be conducted online.
Organising the thesis defense in campus has been prepared by LSPR with strict health protocol standards. Entering the campus by first passing through the sterilizer room, washing hands with soap, using a hand sanitizer, and body temperature check are some of the steps that must be carried out by all LSPR academics who will enter the campus area. Also in the defense room, of course maintain physical distance considering there is only 1 chief examiner, 1 expert examiner, 1 examiner as well as thesis advisor, and 1 moderator from the Thesis Department, And the students who will conduct the thesis defense. Masks and face shields usage is also expected to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19, so that this appeal is periodically and continuously carried out through verbal information and posters posted on several points of the LSPR campus.
