This year marks the 25th Anniversary for the establishment of China-ASEAN Dialogue Relationship. The Mission of China to ASEAN, with the support of the ASEAN Secretariat, organized a delegation of scholars from ASEAN Studies Centre from Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and Philippines under the leadership of H.E. Dr. AKP Mochtan, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN to visit China on 9 – 17 April 2016.

LSPR-Centre For ASEAN Public Relations Studies (CAPRS) was chosen to be part of ASEAN delegation from Indonesia with ASEAN Studies Centre – Indonesia University. Yuliana Riana P, MM (head of CAPRS) represented LSPR CAPRS in ASEAN delegation to China. One of the main agendas in China trip was attending International Conference to Celebrate the 25th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations on April 11th,2016 in Beijing International Hotel hosted by China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and ASEAN-China Centre (ACC). In this International conference Yuliana Riana P, MM conveyed about Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in ASEAN: Opportunities and Challenges.

ASEAN delegation also visited two top universities in China; Nanjing University, ranked 26th as the best university and Xiamen University, ranked 76th as the best university. At Nanjing University, ASEAN delegation had discussions about South China Sea with Collaborative Innovation Centre of South China Sea Studies. Whereas in Xiamen University, ASEAN delegation discussed about China-ASEAN relationship with Centre for Southeast Asia Studies.

In China trip, ASEAN delegations also visited various tourist destinations and museums in Beijing, Nanjing and Xiamen to know better about China culture. The tourist destinations in China were Summer Palace, Temple of Heaven, National Museum, City Wall, Memorial Hall for Compatriots killed in the Nanjing Massacre, Hakka Earth Building and Gulangyu Island.
