Whenever a foreign lecturer visits LSPR Jakarta, we certainly want to know his experience as a lecturer. Therefore, on March 17, 2016, Dr. Shiro Sato, anInternational Relation lecturer from Osaka International University shared his experience while teaching at Osaka International University and the London School of Public Relatons Jakarta.
The sharing session also covered topics such as his experience in teaching at OIU and LSPR Jakarta, as well as the international relations between Indonesia and Japan, in addition to the international relations between Japan and any other Asian country. He stated that due to the influence of Japanese culture in Indonesia, the diplomatic discussion between the said countries have always been smooth.
Dr. Sato also shared a topic that has been the number one international security issue for several years, ISIS. Specifically, he wanted to know LSPR students opinion about ISIS. A student attended the session said that the problem lies in the understanding of ISIS. Indonesians need to be more educated on what ISIS is, and why are they different from the real teachings of Islam. He also stated that Indonesian youth should be vigilant at all times, because ISIS never stops recruiting. Dr. Sato liked this answer and at the end of the session, Dr. Sato gave out souvenirs to all of the attendees. (Anita / Tarrasch)
